Segwise vs Superads (2026): Which Creative Analytics Tool Fits Your Team?

Pick Superads if you only buy on Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and Google Ads, spend under about $100K a month, and already have people making your ads: it costs $150 a month at that spend. Pick Segwise if you buy on AppLovin, Unity or other mobile networks, judge creative on MMP installs and ROAS, or need new ads built from your winners.

Segwise is an AI creative analytics and creative generation platform that tags every creative you run across 15+ ad networks and 5 MMPs, finds the patterns that win, scores new creatives before spend, and helps your team turn those patterns into statics, video, playables and CTV spots.

Superads is a creative analytics and ad reporting tool built by Superside, the creative services company. It connects Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and Google Ads, tags your ads with AI, scores them against your own account, and shares live boards with your team and clients. It says plainly that it does not make ads. Both tools are creative analytics tools, so this is a like-for-like comparison of the analysis job, plus what Segwise adds on top.

TL;DR

  • Paid social and Google, mostly reporting, tight budget: Superads. It starts at $150 a month for up to $100K of monthly spend, has a 14-day trial, keeps 12 months of history, and its live boards suit client reporting.

  • Mobile games and apps buying on AppLovin (Axon), Unity, Mintegral, Moloco or Snapchat: Segwise. Superads does not list those networks or any MMP, so installs and D7 ROAS from AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch, Singular or Kochava would stay outside it.

  • Teams whose bottleneck is making ads, not reading reports: Segwise. Superads analyzes and can draft a brief; Segwise also generates the ads and scores drafts before spend.

  • Agencies: both give unlimited users and per-client separation. Superads is cheaper for social-only clients; Segwise covers clients on mobile networks and makes the next round of ads.

How do Segwise and Superads compare side by side?

Every Superads row comes from Superads' own homepage, pricing page, help center or LLM info page, read on October 26, 2026. Every Segwise row comes from Segwise's feature and integration pages.

What does Superads do well?

Superads is a focused reporting tool for paid social and Google, and it does that job cheaply and cleanly. Its homepage calls it "Your AI paid media expert," and the product backs that up in four ways.

Boards and multi-account reports. You can combine several ad accounts and platforms in one report, group reports into Boards by client or brand, and share a live link that the viewer can filter and sort. For an agency sending weekly client updates, that is the feature people buy it for.

Superads Scores. Every live ad gets a 0 to 100 rank on up to five dimensions. The help center explains that a score of 60 means the ad beat 60% of your other ads on that dimension, so a designer and a media buyer can read the same number. Hook and Hold apply to video only, and the Conversion Score is built on purchases.

Superads AI and Workflows. You ask questions in plain English, and Workflows run any saved prompt on a schedule and post the answer to Slack, email or both, which Superads shipped in its May 2026 update.

Simple, spend-based pricing. One subscription covers every client and workspace, and the price follows your last 30 days of connected spend. Billing is monthly with no fixed contract, and the Professional plan includes 12 months of history.

What does Segwise add that Superads doesn't?

The two tools overlap on tagging, AI chat, fatigue spotting and Meta competitor tracking. They part ways on where the data comes from and what happens after the analysis.

More networks and an MMP as the source of truth. Segwise's integration docs list connectors for the mobile networks game and app teams buy on, AppLovin (Axon), Unity, Mintegral, Moloco and Liftoff, plus Snapchat, Reddit, LinkedIn, Google Ads, Meta and TikTok. On attribution it connects five MMPs, and its AppsFlyer guide says it maps every creative to ROAS, CPA and LTV. We found no Superads page that names an MMP or any of those mobile networks. If you judge creative on D7 ROAS from your MMP, that gap decides the comparison. Influence Mobile, which runs paid UA for Rewarded Play, moved its creative testing into Segwise and reported a 10% lift in D7 ROAS in its case study. Our guide to unifying scattered creative data explains why one joined view matters.

Playables tagged like any other format. Segwise's Creative Tagging Agent watches video, listens to audio and plays each playable end to end, then tags the mechanic, hook scene and end card. We found no Superads page that mentions playables.

Generation from your own winners. Superads AI can write a brief, but someone still has to make the ad. Segwise's Creative Generation Agent turns winning hooks, CTAs and visual styles into statics and video up to 30 seconds, including AI UGC-style video, and tracks each new ad once it runs. Playable generation and CTV spots run as managed services, where the Segwise team finishes each asset. WGT, a golf game, reports that Segwise got its new concepts into testing 5x faster, according to Segwise's case studies.

A read-only MCP. Teams that work inside Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Codex can ask Segwise questions there through the Segwise MCP, switched on by your account manager. It reads data only; it can't generate ads or change your ad accounts.

Superads Scores or Segwise Pre-flight: which score do you need?

The two scores answer different questions, so it helps to know which one you need.

Superads Scores rank ads that have already spent. They tell you which live ad hooks best, holds best or converts best compared with the rest of your account. That helps you decide what to scale or pause.

Segwise Pre-flight Testing scores ads that have not run yet. You upload up to 10 images or short videos, and each gets a score out of 100, a run or hold verdict, a confidence level and reasoning that cites your own winning ads. It also checks placement specs, for example that a creative clears Meta Feed but not Stories, or can't run on Axon. It does not fix the creative; your team reworks it and scores it again. If you want a testing routine around this, our post on pre-flight testing frameworks for Meta and TikTok walks through one.

Segwise also ranks live ads after launch, through tag-to-metric mapping and fatigue tracking with thresholds you set, such as a 20% ROAS decline over 7 days. Superads does not document a score for drafts that haven't run.

Where does Superads genuinely win?

A fair comparison has to say where the other tool is the better buy.

  • Price at low and mid spend. $150 a month covers up to $100K of monthly spend. Segwise starts at $499/month for advertisers spending up to $250K/month, with a special 50% discount for startups spending under $50K/month. For a Meta and TikTok team at $80K a month, Superads costs less than a third as much.

  • Longer trial and longer history. Superads gives 14 days to test and keeps 12 months of history on its paid plan. Segwise's trial is 7 days with 14 days of history imported, and paid plans import up to 3 months. If you want a year-over-year view on day one, Superads has it.

  • Client reporting for paid social. Live, filterable Boards across many accounts are Superads' strongest feature. Segwise shares reports by link and keeps client folders separate, but Superads is built around that reporting workflow.

  • Web conversions through GA4. Superads matches GA4 sessions to ads by ad ID or names. For a B2B or lead-gen team on LinkedIn and Google judging ads on site conversions, that fits well.

If those four describe your team, and nobody is asking for playables, MMP data or more ads, Superads is the sensible choice. For a broader shortlist, our ranking of creative analytics tools covers more options.

What does each tool cost at your spend level?

Both vendors price by monthly ad spend. Monthly billing, from each vendor's pricing as of October 26, 2026:

Monthly ad spend

Superads Professional

Segwise

$40K

$150

From $499/mo (50% off under $50K spend)

$100K

$150

From $499/mo (50% off under $50K spend)

$200K

$250

From $499/mo (50% off under $50K spend)

Two notes. Superads' pricing page shows $125 a month when billed yearly ($1,500 a year), while its help center says $120, so confirm the annual figure at checkout. Superads also calculates an annual quote from your average monthly spend over the last 12 months.

The gap in plain numbers: at $100K of monthly spend, Segwise costs $349 a month more, which is 0.35% of that spend. At $200K the gap is $249, or 0.12%. Pay that difference only if you will use what it buys: mobile network and MMP coverage, pre-flight scores, or ads generated from your winners. If you won't, the cheaper tool is the right one.

Which should you pick? A decision rule

The four questions

Rule of thumb: count how many of these four are true for your team.

  1. You spend on any network beyond Meta, TikTok, Google Ads and LinkedIn, such as AppLovin, Unity, Mintegral, Moloco or Snapchat.

  2. You judge creative on MMP-attributed installs, D7 ROAS or post-install events.

  3. Your team can't make ads as fast as the networks need them.

  4. You want a score on new creatives before they spend.

How to read your count

If two or more are true, pick Segwise. If none is true and your main job is reporting on paid social, pick Superads. If exactly one is true, start a trial of each on the same accounts and see which answers your weekly questions faster.

Decision flow: four questions on networks, MMP, ad production and pre-launch scoring that point to Segwise or Superads

Tip:
Mobile game studios usually hit points 1 and 2 on day one. The Segwise mobile gaming page shows how teams there use tagging, playables and generation together.

How do you switch from Superads to Segwise?

Superads bills monthly with no fixed contract, so switching is mostly about keeping your reporting intact.

  1. Export what you need to keep. Superads Professional includes CSV export. Save the reports you show clients or leadership, especially anything older than 3 months, since Segwise's paid plans import up to 3 months of history.

  2. Connect everything in the Segwise trial. Link each ad network and, if you have one, your MMP. Setup is no-code, and the 7-day trial imports 14 days of history.

  3. Rebuild your breakdowns as tags. Superads custom breakdowns built from naming conventions map to Segwise's naming-convention tags, and anything else becomes a custom tag.

  4. Run both for a cycle. Compare which ads each tool calls top performers and which it flags as tiring. Where they disagree, check the MMP numbers.

  5. Cancel at the end of a billing cycle. On monthly billing there is nothing to wait out. If you paid yearly, run both until renewal.

Agencies moving several clients should start with the client whose spend sits on mobile networks, since that is where the difference shows first. Our guide to creative analytics tools for agencies covers the agency setup, and our Segwise vs Motion comparison helps if Motion is also on your list.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a good Superads alternative?
It depends on what Superads is missing for you. If you buy on mobile networks such as AppLovin (Axon), Unity, Mintegral or Moloco, judge ads on MMP data, or need new ads built from your winners, Segwise is the closer fit: it connects 15+ ad networks and 5 MMPs, scores creatives before spend and generates statics, video and playables. If you want another reporting-first tool for DTC brands on paid social, Motion (motionapp.com) is a creative analytics option, with its Starter plan listed at $999 a month for up to $50K of monthly ad spend on its pricing page as of October 2026.
Is Superads cheaper than Segwise?
Yes, at most spend levels. Superads Professional costs $150 a month for up to $100K of monthly ad spend, plus $100 a month for each extra $100K, or $125 a month billed yearly. Segwise starts at $499/month for advertisers spending up to $250K/month, with a special 50% discount for startups spending under $50K/month, and includes a 7-day free trial. The extra cost buys mobile network and MMP coverage, pre-flight scoring and ad generation.
Does Superads generate ads?
No. Superads' own LLM info page says it does not generate ad creatives, write copy, produce images or create videos. Superads AI can suggest what to test and draft a brief from your top ads, and for finished ads Superads points teams to Superside, the creative services company that built it. Segwise generates statics, video up to 30 seconds and AI UGC-style video from your winning patterns, with playables and CTV spots as managed services.
Does Superads work for mobile games and app install campaigns?
Only partly. Superads connects Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and Google Ads, which many app advertisers use, but we found no Superads page that names AppLovin, Unity, Mintegral, Moloco or any MMP such as AppsFlyer or Adjust, and its Conversion Score is built on purchases. Game and app teams that judge creative on MMP installs and D7 ROAS across mobile networks usually need a tool like Segwise that connects those sources.
Can I use Superads and Segwise at the same time?
Yes. Both only read your ad data, so running them side by side does not change your campaigns. Some teams keep Superads for live client boards on paid social while using Segwise for mobile networks, MMP-based analysis, pre-flight scoring and generation. If you are switching, running both for one billing cycle lets you compare which ads each tool flags as winners and as fatiguing.
Does Superads have a free plan?
Not for new users. Superads' LLM info page says the free plan has been discontinued for new signups, and new users start with a 14-day free trial of the Professional plan. Segwise offers a 7-day free trial with no credit card required.
How much historical data do Superads and Segwise import?
Superads' Professional plan includes 12 months of historical data, and the first 14 days load in about 30 minutes after you connect an account. Segwise imports up to 14 days of history on its free trial and up to 3 months on paid plans. If a long lookback matters to you, export older Superads reports before you cancel.
Do Superads and Segwise track competitor ads?
Yes. Superads covers Meta; Segwise covers the Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and Google ad libraries. Superads Inspiration lets you follow any brand and see the ads it runs on Meta, then save them to shared collections. Segwise's Competitor Tracking Agent tags competitor ads from the Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and Google ad libraries with the same AI it uses on your own ads, and feeds the gaps it finds into briefs and generated concepts.
