Segwise and Creatify generate ads with AI from different starting points. Creatify works from a product link and up to 1,500 AI actors, then launches ads to Meta, TikTok and AppLovin. Segwise starts from your own winning ads, tagged across 15+ ad networks and MMPs, and helps your team turn them into statics, videos, AI UGC, playables and CTV spots.
Segwise is an AI creative analytics and creative generation platform for UA, performance and creative teams. It tags every hook, CTA, character and visual style you run, shows which ones drive ROAS, and helps your team turn those patterns into new ads, with fatigue alerts, pre-flight scoring and competitor tracking in the same loop. Creatify is an AI ad maker with a performance agent that can launch campaigns and move budget on the platforms it connects to.
How do Segwise and Creatify compare at a glance?
What can Segwise and Creatify each generate?
Both make video and static ads, both do UGC-style video, both localize, and both can turn a social ad into a TV spot. What separates them is the material each one builds from.
Segwise: new ads built from what already wins in your account
The Creative Generation Agent works from your tagged creative data. Ask for ads by persona, product, season or country, and it combines the patterns that win in your account with your brand guidelines, products and messaging. Every suggested ad carries a "Why this ad" note tied to your own patterns and to gaps in competitor creative. Your team reviews, edits and ships.
What it makes:
Statics, generated per ad group if you want, each with a recommendation of the campaign and ad group it should run in.
Video up to 30 seconds, and AI UGC-style video (AI-generated in a UGC style, not filmed creators).
Scene-by-scene storyboards and data-backed creative briefs, to use in Segwise or hand to your designers or agency.
Playable ads, as a managed service: the Segwise team polishes, tests and delivers each playable to the specs of the networks you run on.
CTV spots, as a managed service: net-new 15 and 30-second spots in 1080p, or a winning TikTok or Reels ad rebuilt for TV with a QR code or phone number in place of the tap.
It also handles the work that usually eats a creative team's week:
Smart element remixing combines winning hooks, CTAs, visual styles and characters from several top ads into one new ad.
Localization adapts a winner to new languages and markets, including idioms, tone and local register.
Generated video can be edited by hand, or reworked with a plain-English note on the hook, copy, product, visual or layout.
Scheduled creative drops bring a fresh batch of data-backed concepts on your schedule, and you can generate video on demand in between.
Once a generated ad goes live, Segwise tags and tracks it automatically, so its results shape the next round.
Customers report the results in Segwise's published case studies. Since HiveMinds brought Segwise into its Jio Financial Services account in June 2026, the team has generated 400 to 500 statics and 20 to 25 videos with it, and 40 to 50% of everything it ships for the account is generated in Segwise or built from what Segwise showed the team (HiveMinds case study). Whow Games turns out four ad variants per concept across every channel in a few hours, and a data-backed Segwise concept cracked France for its Fishin' Frenzy slot game (Whow Games case study). Medialicious runs about 30% of its total ad spend on Segwise-generated creatives and pulls around 150 assets a week from Segwise (Medialicious case study).
Creatify: fast video from a product link, with a deep avatar library
Creatify sells itself as "AI Ads that win." Paste a product, Shopify or app store link, or write a brief, and it drafts scripts and renders video ads. Its avatar library has 300 AI actors on Starter and 1,500 plus 3 custom avatars on Pro, lip-synced in 75+ languages (pricing). It offers 200+ ad templates on Starter and 500+ on Pro, Ad Clone remakes an ad from a URL, batch mode creates a dozen variations at once, and Image Ads and Product Ads cover statics and product shots. Videos can run up to 2 minutes on Starter and 10 minutes on Pro.
Creatify also makes CTV and OTT ads, either by converting vertical videos or by building from product shots, arranged through its sales team, and it partners with Comcast's Universal Ads. Enterprise customers can add Creatify Studio, a done-for-you service that delivers 25 to 100+ videos a month with a 48-hour turnaround.
If what you want is to choose a presenter from a large library and get a video out of a product link in minutes, Creatify is built for that. If you want your next ad to start from the hooks, characters and end cards that already drive ROAS in your account, and you also need playables, CTV spots or statics placed by ad group, Segwise is built for that.
Where does each tool get its creative direction?
A generator needs a signal to build from, and this is where the tools differ most. Segwise's creative tagging watches, listens to and reads every ad you run, plays every playable, tags 20+ standard elements plus your own custom and naming-convention tags, and maps each tag to ROAS, CPA, IPM, CTR or custom events. Because the tags are consistent across every network, the Creative Strategy Agent can answer a question like "what is different about my top 5 creatives versus my bottom 5" with evidence, and the generator builds from that answer. Our roundup of creative tagging tools compares this approach with other taggers.
Creatify's AI Performance Agent connects to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Snap Ads, AppLovin, OpenAI Ads, Shopify and GA4, ingests your account history and, in Creatify's words, "trains on your account data, not generic benchmarks." Its Creative Insights feature scores ads and breaks them into hooks, actors, CTAs and selling points, for your own ads and competitors', and the Shopify and GA4 connections bring in store revenue. Its Winning Creatives preset turns your best ads into new variations. For a Shopify brand on Meta and TikTok, this covers a lot of ground.
The difference is depth. Creatify works with winners at the level of the whole ad, as each platform reports them. Segwise breaks every ad into tagged elements across 15+ networks, so it can tell you that a particular hook or end card is the winner and reuse it in an ad that looks nothing like the original.
The gap shows up in app and game UA. Neither Creatify's pricing page nor its Performance Agent page lists an MMP connection, so for app installs the attribution it acts on is each ad platform's own. Meta, Google, Snapchat and TikTok are self-attributing networks: Adjust says they "receive all of your installs from Adjust and then self-attribute using their own engagement data", and each partner uses its own attribution window (Adjust notes Google uses a 30-day window and Facebook 60 days). Because each platform attributes on its own, two of them can each claim the same install. Segwise reads installs, revenue and post-install events from AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch, Singular or Kochava and can use your MMP as the source of truth, so the "winning hook" it builds from is the one that wins on attributed D7 ROAS. If you don't use an MMP, tagging, pre-flight scoring and generation all work on ad network data alone.
Both tools also score ads before spend, in different ways. Segwise Pre-flight Testing takes up to 10 images or short videos at once and returns a score out of 100, a run-or-hold verdict and reasoning that cites the winning ads in your account it compared against. It also flags placements a creative is not eligible for, such as clearing Meta Feed but not Stories. Creatify's "Score before you spend" preset uses a three-persona panel that grades the cut and names the fix.
What happens after the ad is made?
Creatify goes further into media buying. Its Ad Launcher pushes ads live to Meta, TikTok and AppLovin, and the Performance Agent can build campaigns, set budgets, rotate creative and reallocate budget across platforms within limits you set. For a marketer without a media buyer, this saves real time.
Segwise keeps launch and budget with your media buyers, and supports that decision instead. Generated ads export sized for each network, each generated static arrives with a recommended campaign and ad group, and every ad is tagged and tracked automatically once it is live. Fatigue tracking alerts the team by email or Slack when a winner starts to slip, against thresholds you set, such as a 20% ROAS decline over 7 days. Those results feed the next round of generation: tag, analyze, generate, measure, repeat.
Both tools watch competitors on Meta. Segwise tags rival ads with the same tags as your own and turns the gaps into concepts. Creatify's Competitor Ad Tracker covers 10M+ Meta ads and up to 10 brands on Pro.
Which is better for mobile game studios?
Start with playables, networks and the MMP, because that is where the two tools split for games. Segwise plays each playable end to end and tags the core mechanic, tutorial style, hook scene, first-level difficulty, end card and CTA, then maps each element to IPM, CPI, ROAS and post-install events. Its playable generation service builds net-new playables around the winning elements, finished by the Segwise team, for networks such as AppLovin, Meta, Unity Ads, Mintegral and Moloco. Segwise also connects Unity, Mintegral, Moloco and Liftoff alongside Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and AppLovin, so D7 ROAS by creative element is a standard view, not a spreadsheet project. For how other playable tools compare, see our guide to playable ad generation tools.
Creatify serves games too. Its games page turns a store link into a video ad that can use your gameplay footage, and its Axon page pitches 100+ video variations a month for AppLovin. Neither page mentions playable ads. For a studio buying mostly video on Meta, TikTok and AppLovin and judging installs in each platform's dashboard, that can be enough. Studios that run playables, buy on Unity, Mintegral, Moloco or Liftoff, or make calls on MMP-attributed D7 ROAS will get more from Segwise.
How much do Segwise and Creatify cost?
Segwise starts at $499/month for advertisers spending up to $250K/month, with a special 50% discount for startups spending under $50K/month, and includes a 7-day free trial. Every feature is on every plan, including creative generation, playable ad generation, CTV ad generation and Pre-flight Testing, with unlimited seats. The first CTV ad is free.
Creatify has a free plan with 10 credits a month and watermarked exports. Starter is $39/month for 100 credits and one seat. Pro is $99/month for 300 credits, with larger credit tiers available, up to 5 seats (2 included), and the Performance Agent, MCP, Competitor Ad Tracker and Ad Clone. Enterprise is priced on request and includes Creatify Studio. Annual plans save up to 50%, and anything that re-runs the AI uses credits (Creatify pricing).
Creatify is cheaper to start for one person making video. Segwise's price covers creative analytics, tagging, pre-flight scoring, fatigue alerts, competitor tracking and generation for the whole team, so weigh it against the stack it replaces rather than against a single generator. For a wider view of generators, see our guide to the best AI ad generation tools and our list of Creatify alternatives.
Segwise or Creatify: which should you choose?
Choose Segwise if you buy on two or more ad networks, ship 20 or more new creatives a month (enough volume for patterns to show), and want each new ad to come from what already wins in your account.
Choose Segwise if you run playables or CTV, or judge creative on MMP-attributed installs or D7 ROAS. Under $50K a month in spend, the startup discount applies.
Choose Segwise if your UA and creative teams need to brief, generate and review from the same data, with unlimited seats.
Choose Creatify if you are a solo seller or a team of one or two, sell mainly through Meta, TikTok or Shopify, and need avatar video from product links more than creative analytics.
Choose Creatify if you want a tool that launches ads and moves budget for you, and you are comfortable judging app installs on each platform's own attribution, or you sell on the web and trust Shopify or GA4 for revenue.
Segwise is the wrong pick in a few cases, and it is better to know them up front. It builds from your own ad results, so a brand-new app with no ad history has little for it to learn from yet. Its video tops out at 30 seconds, while Creatify renders up to 10 minutes on Pro. Playables and CTV spots come through the Segwise team as managed services, not a self-serve builder. It does not launch ads or move budget. And if browsing a large stock presenter library is the main thing you need, Creatify is the closer fit.
For most UA and performance teams the harder problem is knowing which creative to make next, and then making enough of it. Segwise answers both from the same data. The free trial lets you connect a network, see your own winning elements and generate your first ads from them before you decide.
